The non profit organization partner/innen. Verein für öffentliche Kunst was founded 2001 as an instrument to develop, finance and promote art projects, researches and debates in the public/social sphere. partner/innen's focus on collaborative practices and transdisciplinarity is a consequence of Zobl/Schneiders aim to realize new forms of artistic work that moves beyond the only thinly veiled principle of the artist as genius. partner/innen is a lean organisation based on a broad informal network of artists, art theoreticians, scientists, activists and many other people. We all see art as an instrument for critical work, experiments and agitation for emancipatory changes in society.
